Fresh Green Hops!
There’s nothing quite like fresh hops, the beers they produce have a stronger hop aroma. Fresh hop season brings excitement from the short-lived opportunity to brew with whole-leaf hops hours after they’re picked.
Fresh hops – also referred to as green or wet hops – are raw, un-dried hops, these ones are left on the bine and give you the opportunity to pick them yourself, then immediately use them for brewing (typically within 24 hours). Available once a year during our harvest from mid-August to late September.
The fresh hops bines can also be dried & used for decorating. The bines can be shaped into fall wreaths, wrapped around posts or used as a mantle piece.
